A Beautiful Ending To A Terrible Start

Matty has been on my nerves lately...A LOT! And I on his, no doubt. Today was my day off and of course it is also football Sunday. (I despise football season.) So I really wanted a lazy day to lay around in bed but we already had plans to go to our friends' house to watch the Chargers vs. Vikings game. Well, Matty has been taking online classes and his idea of doing homework is spending hours in front of the TV with his laptop...which if you can't guess annoys the piss out of me. You can't possibly retain what you're learning if your jerking off in front of the TV...which is only part of why I think online classes are a joke...but let's not get started on that.

Anyway, I asked Matty to fix some Mac 'n Cheese for Zeek for me and he started whining about how he has homework (seriously?!! he'd been doing it for FOUR hours in front of an early morning foolsball game...so I wasn't settling for the "I'm doing homework" excuse). So this guy goes throwing a temper tantrum into the kitchen and all of a sudden I hear him slam the pan down and an instant shatter.

So I guess that's enough publicly shaming my husband Matty. After much arguing, taking my sweet ass time getting ready, and him dragging me out of the house and headed to our friends' house. I had a good time with our friends. I got to meet their mother, brother, and step father, and we went (without Matty...I took him home "to finish homework" and traded him for Molly) to Sunset Cliffs. It's one of my favorite places in San Diego and I don't get to go there often enough. 

I don't know the couple I captured in this shot...but this is what I think of as a perfect date at Sunset Cliffs...too bad my husband is not at all romantic.
