Julian Road Trip

I haven't wrote in a few days...mostly because I haven't had much of anything positive to say. If you've read my last two posts, you can tell I've been pretty peeved at the world. I wish I could say that I've had some progress with this move...naw, haven't done anything related to the move in a few days. BUT we've been getting in some memorable times...and some more to come!

We went to Julian this past Sunday! I have some really great pics to share! I just realized that I took a lot of pictures of the kids and didn't get any of the other great things about Julian like fresh raw apple cider, candied apples, fresh apple pies, old country houses, cute little shops, and more! That's okay...maybe next time. We brought Matty's friend Ricky and my friend's son Jay along for the day and had a blast walking around the small town, looking at all the vendors at the Apple Fest, and then hit a pumpkin patch.

We have a lot planned for this week. We went to our buddy Joe's for dinner and NCIS tonight...We'll be going to my girlfriend Bruni's house for dinner on Thursday (keeping my fingers crossed for some chimichangas!) We're going to Del Mar on Friday night for the Scare Zone! And then having a lil Asian Food Fest over at Ricky's house Saturday night! I have the weekend free to help my girlfriend Melanie move... and I think that's it for the agenda.

Have you done anything exciting lately? Any mini road trips or staycations? Big plans for the weekend?

Let the Good Times Roll

We're trying to get in as much quality time as possible with the people that we enjoy most here in San Diego. Today, we went to Country Fest in Lakeside! It's an all day concert at the Rodeo for only $10! There's bleacher seating and down below you can stand around in front of the stage. There are lots of vendors selling cowboy hats and country attire, and of course lots of beer tents and BBQ! The bad thing about sitting in the bleachers for a concert is the backache and the scary thought of the baby falling through the gaps in the seats that it's not a great setup for chatting it up with your friends. :(  We had a great time though!

My Ticket

In the bleachers a the Lakeside Rodeo! From the Front to the back: Ezekiel, Matty, Ricky in blue, Samantha, and Joe in the ball cap.

Ezekiel did a lot of strutting around with his chest out. This kid gets all kinds of attention! People are just naturally drawn to him. I think it has a lot to do with those adorable curls in the back of his head. Here he is climbing the fence to the bull pit! My lil Cowpoke!

This kid loves live music! He must be my son after all! (It's a joke amongst friends... I sometimes swear that if Ezekiel had been taken away from me in the delivery room, I might doubt that he's my son. He doesn't look like me at all! But he does look resemble his sister a bit...)

All that partying wore him out!

Matty and I don't have too many pictures of us together so we took advantage of the moment!
